Is the lottery really your best shot at avoiding Alpo in your old age?

Apparently so. 57% of workers surveyed had less than $25,000 in total savings and investments.

The saddest thing about these folks is that they will be clamoring for a socialist savior even worse than Obama to "save them" from the failure of capitalism. And the rest, as they say, will be history.

Well, that $25K doesn't include the value of their home and/or defined benefit plans, which makes it a little brighter.

I wouldn't worry too much about today's geezers though. They'll happily continue stealing from their grandkids' generation, all while turning around and demanding respect from these very same young people.
