The SEC Pulls a Bernanke, Plans Some QE of Its Own
I am not so familiar with the Securities Act of 1933 and 1934 that I would know whether or not this is allowed but check it out, the SEC buys Treasurys.
Exactly what I said when I read it. Read it a few more times and it makes sense... "overnight" as in "the Treasury can't pay the bills so we will loan them some money and then get interest back".
