Anyone who's read Confessions of an Economic Hit Man has to be a little suspicious of Hugo Chavez's medical condition. The U.S. government tried a coup against him once; does anyone doubt they would poison him if they had the chance?
I'm pleased to say that I had caught on to U.S. imperialism in Latin America even before reading Confessions. Helps to have been there and seen it first-hand, I suppose.
