Worth repeating ... Hollywood, Roman Polanski, Whoopi Goldberg "it wasn't rape-rape"

Yeah treating this as if it is my blog (when it's not) with my pet topics. So excuse the repeat of the same topic I mentioned already. But I'm pissed.

The celebrities defending Polanski, knowing what the hell he did, infuriates me to no end. He drugged and raped a 13-year-old child. He does not deny that and admitted guilty to it. Then ran to avoid sentencing. So how those celebrities can sit on their pretty little asses and defend him is beyond me.

I've been on so many blogs yelling (okay typing in caps) "BOYCOTT HOLLYWOOD!". I think I'm talking to myself really. Is it that difficult for people to avoid movies? We pay their salary (basically). Just think of the impact if people avoided the movies for a whole weekend. Even a good percentage. It would send a loud message - we will not tolerate Hollywood defending a child rapist!!

We will not tolerate it! We dont' accept it. We will not put up with that bullshit.

It does seem there is a backlash growing against Hollywood. But not nearly enough.

Just unbelievable. How does someone look at themselves in the mirror knowing they support a guy who drugged and raped a child. How? How can they possibly justify that in their mind?

UPDATE: W.C. here. If you don't believe this was a serious crime, read the transcript of the victim's testimony here (strong content warning, obviously). Hollywood also makes a lot of money from DVD sales and cable, so it would help to stop buying DVDs, and cancel cable (at least premium movie channels) and Netflix. And you might want to boycott Toys R Us, who uses Whoopi "It wasn't rape-rape" Goldberg as a pitchwoman.
