Matt Taibbi nails it on Fannie, Freddie, and the Washington - Wall Street kleptocracy.
He's the only guy on the left who has a clue about this stuff.
I do think he's being a little unfair to capitalist conservatives, though. He presumes that conservatives/Republicans defend the kleptocracy to benefit Wall Street. He's wrong. Conservatives overwhelmingly opposed the bailouts and the TARP. We want free markets, not crony capitalism. Taibbi should go to a Tea Party. He'd be surprised to learn how much he has in common with us.
