"Obama Youth" army enforcement via Teachers' Union?

Ok, sit down before you read this...
After Obama's national address to students on September 8, 2009, students will be asked to:

Write letters to themselves about what they can do to help the president. These would be collected and resistributed at an appropriate later date by the teacher to make students accountable to their goals.

That's from the lesson plan for the day, from:
http://www.docstoc.com/docs/10582301/President-Obama%E2%80%99s-Address-to-Students-Across-America-September-8-2009

Seriously, does it get any creepier? No need to ask them to contemplate how they can help themselves? Their parents? Their country? Obama seems to think those options are no good. Rather, it seems it's better for the President and his thugs to ask the students to think carefully about what they can do to help one particular politician?

UPDATE: Gateway Pundit's take. And Rosita the Prole and Dana Loesch say, "Parents strike!" The teachers' unions hate that because it deprives them of their filthy lucre based on daily attendance. And our local San Diego Tea Party founder friend Leslie Eastman is all fired up.
