Your paper of record at work

Kaus quoting Noah Silverman on the New York Times:
Readers of the print edition will never have heard of the presidential appointee so controversial the President had to dump him. Is this a milestone in the decline of the NYT?

A search of the Times archives would seem to confirm that. And the only story in the LA Times appears to be buried in the Entertainment section, which spilled more ink on the leftist boycott of Glenn Beck's show than on the substance of what Beck reported about Jones.

If you want to have any idea what's going on these days, you've got to read the blogs, not the dead tree media.

UPDATE: The NYT's favorite visionary-in-his-own-mind Thomas Friedman posted a fawning puff piece on Jones two years ago.
