Qualcomm reportedly will slash health care benefits in response to ObamaCare rules

Unconfirmed word comes from deep within Qualcomm's HR Department that employees will be in for drastically reduced health care benefits in response to the burdensome, expensive ObamaCare mandates. The plan will reportedly be announced to employees this fall (perhaps conveniently after the November elections).

Qualcomm insiders with more information are encouraged to contact us at wcvarones *at* yahoo.com and may remain anonymous.

Incidentally, Qualcomm honchos are huge Obama/Democrat donors (founder Irwin Jacobs, chairman and CEO Paul Jacobs, firmwide). Of course, they have the money to buy the finest medical care available. Only the little people face the consequences of ObamaCare.

Way to run with an unsubstantiated rumor. Quality work here.

I work in the HR department at Qualcomm and there are no plans to drastically slash health care benefits.

As for "ObamaCare," what mandates are supposed to be so burdensome to Qualcomm? We have great health care through Qualcomm.

Way to just make things up that don't even make any sense. It's your decision to believe in lies, but it's important that anyone else that comes by this rag knows you don't know what you're talking about; not in the least.

Nice to hear but I think employees would be more reassured by an official statement from HR that benefits won't be cut than from an anonymous blog comment.

Yes, as I'm sure they're scared by your blatantly rumor-mongering blog post. I knew this post would be "win" just because the title has "ObamaCare" in it. (In case you can't tell, by "win" I mean "LOL")

You encouraged anonymous information in your post, but you bash someone who posts anonymously? Is it because their comment was contrary to your rumor?

I'm not bashing anyone. Obviously, if company policy is to keep the benefit cuts quiet, whistleblowers may want to remain anonymous.

If, however, the story weren't true, there's no reason the company couldn't come out and categorically state that they are not cutting health care benefits.

I don't think they will do that because I believe the cuts are in the works.

Ok. I'll use the same logic as you. Breaking story: Microsoft is going to fire 10% of their employees next week. I expect Microsoft to refute my baseless claim, or they're admitting it's true!

Don't take my word for it. Ask HR or wait for the November Shocker.

To answer "As for "ObamaCare," what mandates are supposed to be so burdensome to Qualcomm?"

Qualcomm will owe extra taxes for offering their employees great health care after 1-1-2011. To avoid the new tax they could choose to cut coverage to a more Obama-esque level.
Frankly, I don't see how Qualcomm could justify the added cost of continued Cadillac-care to the board of directors.

Debunked. Health benefits are improving, not getting slashed.

Happy Super Tuesday!
